Do you have your receipt?

u/Timedoutsob Jun 09 '23

It's not a wasps nest. It's maribondo. they're brazillian and way more aggressive and painful sting I believe.

Marimbondo is a wasp. Also, they are only from Brazil. Polistes distribution ranges from Arizona to Argentina

u/Timedoutsob Jun 09 '23

Yeah ok marimbondo is a type of wasp. I always thought of wasp as a particular animal turne out it's a group and marimbondo is one type of wasp. Also the marimbond-tatu is the most aggressive type of wasp type.

Exterminator here, wasps always fly right into the bag and they’ve got no clue what’s happening until you cinch it up. Works every time.

u/SnooOnions973 Jun 09 '23

Except this time

16

u/derpoman5000 Jun 09 '23

flags are now wasp nests?

20

u/yMONSTERMUNCHy Jun 09 '23

No. Just places for wasps to build nests on

7

u/homunculide Jun 09 '23

And what was the plan?

4

u/fueled_by_rootbeer Jun 11 '23

If they hadnt punctured the bag with the flagpole, they could have cinched it shut and trapped the wasps.

3

u/homunculide Jun 11 '23

Right but the bag doesn't look strong enough + the speed of action... I don't know, I saw that coming.

There's a spray that expands to deal with wasps. Back in my day though.. like.. 90's. We'd hose them and runaway them comeback and wash and repeat

1

u/fueled_by_rootbeer Jun 20 '23

Oh, they still make that! Seen it in action a couple years ago during an internship.

8

u/ephemeralcomet Jun 11 '23

I love how aggressively Brazilian this is

7

u/Uncle_Stink_Stonk Jun 09 '23

Guy filming: Baby, there's a wasp nest, marimbondo, whatever the fuck that is over there and they're trying to get it out.

Fireman tries to remove the nest.

Guy filming: They missed it! Hahahahahaha

u/jaum22 Jun 11 '23

You forgot the "pernilongo" 😂

4

u/Content_Wing_5294 Jun 11 '23

u/Hot_Hat_1225 Jun 09 '23

See them running running running…

2

u/Acrobatic_Fruit6416 Jun 09 '23

Hahaha so football

2

u/Disastrous_Fill967 Jun 09 '23

If you want to deal with wasps, do it when the sun is down, so they'll be in their nest and asleep.

2

u/xKurupti0nx Jun 12 '23

Looks like a nearly failed attempt at a ding dong ditch.

2

u/jonsantosmfc Jun 15 '23

I feel like they are too close to ve laughing and bot running

1

u/Ness-Shot Jun 10 '23

They should be on the team!

1

u/taptapper Jun 12 '23

I didn't understand a single word that guy said

2

u/DaliahSunny Jun 20 '23

Dear, there is a wasp or mosquito (!) nest over there… They are removing it… Holy Fuck! Hahahah

-8

u/BlurryBigfoot74 Jun 08 '23

Are these people speaking English and I'm having a stroke?

20

u/[deleted] Jun 08 '23

No, they're Brazilian and they're speaking Portuguese.

6

u/Solaratov Jun 09 '23

You got downvoted but honestly that was my first thought as well. How drunk is the cameraman, I can hardly understand him. Then I realized it wasn't english and now I'm wondering how drunk am I?

Why is it so hard for some people to get the concept of this sub? Something is supposed to go wrong. It's in the name of the sub. Nothing went wrong in the video.

20

u/Yajeebspace Jun 08 '23

Ummm then getting stung when they were trying to not get stung getting the nest is what went wrong? Where do you see something happening right?

-11

u/JackBeefus Jun 09 '23

How do you know they got stung? Have you never messed with wasps before? You run as soon as you do what you're trying to do so you don't get stung, not because you got stung.

10

u/Yajeebspace Jun 09 '23

Lol what.

-4

u/JackBeefus Jun 09 '23

What's hard to understand about running so you don't get stung?

7

u/Yajeebspace Jun 09 '23

Nothing. I don’t think you read the right title or no much yourself. Hornets nest in ground. So the moment they felt the vibration of these humans they came out to attack. If you are doing it right there is no need to run. My “lol what” was because you’re just saying a bunch of stuff to not be wrong.

3

u/JackBeefus Jun 09 '23

The title doesn't say anything about hornets. It says wasps. Hornets are a specific type of wasp. Many wasps don't nest in the ground. Even if they did, most people aren't going to disturb a wasp nest and then just stand there, though feel free to post a video somewhere of you doing it, or are you just saying a bunch of stuff to not be wrong?

I'm not new. That's the problem. I've been around a long time. Every year Reddit just gets worse.

What's your point here? Is he not allowed to complain?

2

u/JackBeefus Jun 09 '23

Yeah. What's your point? You're here complaining about me complaining.
