Thems ribs is going to smart. 😬

119

u/Bhimtu Mar 22 '23

Probably tore that right shoulder all to hell for sure! OUCH! That hurt ME just watching it!

28

u/c_isfor Mar 23 '23

Rotator cuff damage for sure, looks almost enough for a dislocation as well.. both suck balls.

10

u/ImdaPrincesse2 Mar 23 '23

Three total ruptures and three surgeries. Lost 70% use of my left arm

11

u/c_isfor Mar 23 '23

That tracks with that impact, you don’t appreciate how complex and important a joint the shoulder is until you damage it significantly.

5

u/ImdaPrincesse2 Mar 23 '23

I cleaned professionally for years with one functional arm.

Unfortunately I wore that one out.

1

u/Coma94 Mar 31 '23

Plenty for a dislocation. Been there. Shit sucks. It came out 3 times after the initial dislocation.

21

u/kitkatofthunder Mar 22 '23

Lol. My focus was all on that ankle. Double impact.

5

u/WhiteHairedWidow Mar 23 '23

What happened to her ankle? It looked fine.

4

u/8lazy Mar 23 '23

Yeah it'll be sore but all the weight was on the shoulder and ribs

2

u/kitkatofthunder Mar 23 '23

The foot went into severe plantar flexion, then the ankle in inversion. It would have been impacted on the gate at the end as well. The ribs will probably be broken, it hurts but usually nothing can be done for treatment, but depending on how badly she twisted it with the inertia, she may need surgery.

2

u/WhiteHairedWidow Mar 23 '23

We should ask the lady

ā€œHey we noticed your ankle. Did you hurt it?ā€

I honestly still don’t see any injury. It looked like it slipped, twisted a little but then she bent her knee and that prevented it from twisting any more.

5

u/tpt2021cg Mar 23 '23

U ain't bullshitn and the slo mo impact doesn't help either smh

44

u/HarryHacker42 Mar 22 '23

It saved her head from hitting hard. That could have killed her if she smacked the side of her head on the corner of that frame at full speed.

17

u/Classic-Ad3223 Mar 23 '23

My focus was on her neck. Wow that had to hurt.

6

u/Iamconno Mar 23 '23

Wouldn’t be surprised if her vertebrae weren’t straight as an arrow

5

u/1Bumblestinker Mar 23 '23

I heard something break.

6

u/shinypinksock Mar 23 '23

She’ll walk it off, and say, ā€œThis is nothing compared to childbirth!ā€

u/LifelongLurker1127 Mar 22 '23

Love the slow-mo second replay

17

u/ngms Mar 23 '23

It's the slow-mo gasp that gets me. Like a demon vacuum cleaner.

100

u/Y_Que_Lo_Que Mar 22 '23 Ally

Surf and turf special … ribs half off

75

u/ElKokiDio Mar 22 '23

Ribcracker

64

u/CardinalFartz Mar 22 '23

That's the type of impact which makes you lose the ability to breath a couple of seconds.

I had a similar accident (surely not through surfing on a carpet slide). I can tell, it's a horrible feeling when you notice you cannot breath. And you cannot even tell anybody, since speaking requires breathing! Luckily, it seems the diaphragm resets itself after a while and you can breath again.

31

u/4CL3V3RN4M3 Mar 22 '23

Yeah we used to call that getting the wind knocked out of you. Definitely had it happen to me playing hockey

7

u/MegaAscension Mar 23 '23

Had it happen to me playing soccer in high school. I played striker and I ran and jumped to get a header, and their approximately 300 pound defender (who played defensive line for the football team) bulldozed me in midair. I did nearly a full flip and got the wind knocked out of me when I landed on my back. Hopped up pretty quickly though. I then scored on the penalty kick. That was my athletic peak.

3

u/Mumof3gbb Mar 23 '23

Happened to me when I fell off my horse both times and earlier when I fell off the jungle gym at school. Maybe that’s why I’m so messed up now

3

u/Wordsonanasiantshirt Mar 23 '23

Happened to me when my ex randomly punched me in the sternum while we were laying in bed. When I tried to sit up gasping for air he punched me in the thigh. I limped for 3 days. Real winner that one.

52

u/Away-Sea8827 Mar 22 '23

That’s ribiculous

8

u/CarpeCyprinidae Mar 22 '23

starts out Kung Fu, ends up Lung FU

42

u/Sapient_Creampie Mar 22 '23

If that didn't break them then and there, they'll be feeling it in 10 years for sure.

7

u/El_Guapo82 Mar 23 '23

Oh they broke, you can hear the cracks.

30

u/spiteful_rr_dm_TA Mar 22 '23

People like these are the reason we need "Dont drink contents" on car batteries

5

u/mezz7778 Mar 22 '23

You can't tell me what to do.....*proceeds to drink car battery contents....

2

u/Life-Hair-6350 Mar 27 '23

Lol very true

21

u/cochiseandcumbria Mar 22 '23

Probably the best possible outcome. Would have been so much worse if she hit her neck on that.

4

u/MaryDellamorte Mar 23 '23

You can still break your neck from whiplash. The way her head jerked around, I would be surprised if she didn’t have some sort of neck injury.

4

u/UmDafuq3462 Mar 22 '23

I was thinking the same thing

2

u/Boogalarian Mar 22 '23

My exact though as well. Or hit her temple

1

u/chip_dingus Mar 23 '23

With how hard her head snapped sideways I'd predict she probably injured her neck from this. Right side nerve root compression and left side brachial plexus over extension. Both of those injuries can cause serious upper limb paralysis, paresthesia, and radicular pain.

1

u/dumbleclouds Mar 23 '23

I think the best outcome would have been if she didn’t fall over and made it down to the bottom

14

u/ManyFacedGodxxx Mar 22 '23

Style: 6.5, Skill: 5.5, Dismount 3

6

u/Duality_is_my_prison Mar 22 '23

What are you talking about? Dismount was a 10+ in entertainment value category.

12

u/Crazyjoedevola1 Mar 22 '23

Broke her arm pit bone I bet.

6

u/mezz7778 Mar 22 '23

This made me laugh out loud.. šŸ˜‚

10

u/StoryProfessional593 Mar 22 '23

Stupid games, stupid prizes

9

u/OutragedBubinga Mar 22 '23

Chiropractic techniques are getting out of hand nowadays

3

u/Due_Mycologist7287 Mar 23 '23

šŸ† Here's a poor man's award my friend

3

u/OutragedBubinga Mar 23 '23

It means even more! Thanks!

7

u/VerimTamunSalsus Mar 22 '23

Appropriate result.

8

u/starryseas85 Mar 22 '23

Ooh broken ribs right there

5

u/Ok_Molasses992 Mar 22 '23

Wawza! It’s going to hurt to fart the next couple weeks.

4

u/AntTheMighty Mar 22 '23

I expected her to fall much earlier, and I think that she probably wishes she did too.

3

u/willhunta Mar 22 '23

She fell as soon as the taller railing ended because that was the only thing supporting her up. It looks like she actually tried to stop her momentum by grabbing the tall railing hard at the end but that's what spun her into a backwards fall

2

u/AntTheMighty Mar 22 '23

That is indeed a great synopsis of what occurs in the video.

4

u/Koikorov Mar 22 '23

the kid looking up to her suddenly got disappointed.

2

u/Altruistic_Matter_76 Mar 22 '23

While holding a rail that ends prematurely. What was her exit plan????

2

u/NihilsitcTruth Mar 22 '23

My ribs and shoulder hurt for her.

2

u/tzwep Mar 22 '23

Her mistake was to grasp the hand rail too hard towards the end.

2

u/FrostyCartographer13 Mar 22 '23

Right in the armpit to. God that has to hurt, probably broke a rib while at it.

2

u/doseofreality5 Mar 22 '23

You don't often see girls doing stupid things like this, the boys usually have a monopoly on it.

2

u/BadReputation2611 Mar 23 '23

šŸŽ¶Somebody was towel surf/sliding

Their ribs got wrecked by sidingšŸŽ¶

1

u/MadDogSlayer4 Mar 22 '23

Let that head have some fun

1

u/danng44 Mar 22 '23

What a fine example for the children. Just look how fun this can be…

1

u/FlacidBarnacle Mar 22 '23

It’s a good thing that metal guard rail was their to protect her

1

u/Medical-Juggernaut73 Mar 22 '23

The ratio of fuckaround to findingout is 1 to 1. All is well with the universe.

1

u/BernieTheDachshund Mar 22 '23

The baby next to her was smarter.

1

u/KHaskins77 Mar 22 '23

And here I was just thinking how static-y the towel would get…

1

u/buzzkiller2u Mar 22 '23

She'll get it next time, for sure!

1

u/e_hota Mar 22 '23

Free back adjustment

1

u/strengthnhonor01 Mar 22 '23

She almost made it

1

u/Herr-Pyxxel Mar 22 '23

Love the sharp intake of air at the end 😱

1

u/boots311 Mar 22 '23

You almost had it Brenda

1

u/Zealousideal-Star448 Mar 22 '23

That’s a concussion waiting to happen… or a cracked tooth ooof

1

u/Pretend_Tea6261 Mar 22 '23

People never stop doing obviously idiotic stunts. I get it if you are 8 years old but adults?

2

u/Upstairs_Addendum587 Mar 22 '23

As a 35 year old man with two younger children my primary goal at outings like this is to walk comfortably the next day.

1

u/cxsmicRL Mar 22 '23

Ribs have left the chat

1

u/Epancho16 Mar 22 '23

The problem is not the sliding itself, but her grip not providing any stability whatsoever.

1

u/fStap Mar 22 '23

Deserved

1

u/redhairedgirl4 Mar 22 '23

That's gonna leave a mark!

1

u/throwaway83970 Mar 22 '23

Cracked shoulder blade, anyone?

2

u/UmDafuq3462 Mar 22 '23

Ya know, I think I’ll pass.

1

u/Rev-Surv Mar 22 '23

I bet she try it’s again

1

u/Bhimtu Mar 22 '23

I'm gonna start a new Reddit thread and call it "WhyArePeopleSoFuckingDumb". wtf.

2

u/UmDafuq3462 Mar 22 '23

Along with ā€œwhat’s it like inside a black holeā€, I don’t think that’s a question that will every truly be answered.

1

u/Tackleberry06 Mar 22 '23

Darwin wins again.

1

u/muxidigest Mar 22 '23

Cracked ribs and dislocated shoulder -- here i come!

1

u/piszkavas Mar 22 '23

Bye bye shoulders

1

u/Shadowrider95 Mar 22 '23

Oh…I get it! You’re not supposed to do it that way!

1

u/Natasha_Gears Mar 22 '23

At first I thought she hit her head

1

u/Gluten_Tolerant_2 Mar 22 '23

How to turn ribs into little pieces of ribs.... So now she has more ribs than when she started... Smart.

1

u/No_Eggplant6850 Mar 22 '23

Fk around and find out game

1

u/xploreconsciousness Mar 22 '23

This will hurt intermittently for the rest of her life.

1

u/mudgts Mar 22 '23

And that’s how you get out of work for 4-6 weeks

1

u/SumDoubt Mar 22 '23

Geez I hope those aren't her kids on the slide.

1

u/uoab Mar 22 '23

Using your sparrow in "Destiny" to glitch through walls

1

u/cyber1kenobi Mar 22 '23

That’s why we’ve got multiple rubs! :/

1

u/RUBBERDUCKLOVESCAKE Mar 22 '23

She going to be feeling that one lol

1

u/Spiritual_Rice_5455 Mar 22 '23

1

u/gwreckz Mar 22 '23

That’s called the right armpit adjustment. They’ll feel great tomorrow

1

u/Jimbro34 Mar 23 '23

She ended up dying of internal bleeding.

1

u/apierce918 Mar 23 '23

In the age of videos cutting off right at the point of impact, I appreciate the instant replay.

1

u/EndlesslyUnfinished Mar 23 '23

Her problem was that she didn’t commit to it.

1

u/Geno__Breaker Mar 23 '23

The slow motion made me feel better. I thought she hit her head but nope, just ribs.

1

u/RomanRefrigerator Mar 23 '23

She went from having a full rack of ribs to baby back ribs.

1

u/Solaratov Mar 23 '23

This kills the spine.

1

u/creepsnutsandpervs Mar 23 '23

I think everyone around there over the age of 5 just learned a new lesson

1

u/Square_Pringles Mar 23 '23

There goes her spleen. Didn't need it anyways

1

u/kryptosthedj Mar 23 '23

I know that exact pain she will have. It will go away then come back hard.

1

u/BeagleDad44906 Mar 23 '23

Oh that's gonna leave a mark! Lol yikes

1

u/Bucknut1959 Mar 23 '23

People really think they’re indestructible but your not Gumby damnit!

1

u/OlderMan42 Mar 23 '23

Something about trying to be safe by holding the barrier. Then not letting go…

1

u/semiprowalker Mar 23 '23

In sandals of course.

1

u/Trogdordaburninator3 Mar 23 '23

At least your ribs will remind you how lucky you are it wasnt your neck tomorrow!

1

u/TheRealUndertaker1 Mar 23 '23

That's going to leave a mark

1

u/Humble_Umpire_8341 Mar 23 '23

Fuck around and find out…

1

u/kleinfeld69 Mar 23 '23

So sorry that happened…why would they let her do that?

1

u/dirttaylor Mar 23 '23

Opening to Wipeout kept running through my head.

1

u/kylieb209 Mar 23 '23

She was so close to being in the clear

1

u/implicitexpletives69 Mar 23 '23

woman knows how to stay in her lane.

1

u/No-Error-4099 Mar 23 '23

That's gonna leave a mark

1

u/nihilistic_vision Mar 23 '23

If you're going to be dumb you better be tough.

1

u/luvdemtiddies Mar 23 '23

Friends, that’s what the beginning of a lifetime of shoulder issues looks like.

1

u/GreggyFresh0922 Mar 23 '23

Don’t drink and towel surf.

1

u/Slimdave-v1 Mar 23 '23

In front of kids as well ! Stupid women hope that knocked some sense into her

1

u/Sully_pa Mar 23 '23

Things you should think through for $200 Alex.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 23 '23

Trying to out childish the children. Good job!

1

u/chip_dingus Mar 23 '23

Everybody is talking about ribs but I honestly think she'll have more problems with the right side nerve roots in her neck from compression and the left side brachial plexus from over extension. Remember folks, protect ya neck.

1

u/AdmirableRepeat7643 Mar 23 '23

Dislocated shoulder?

1

u/SpaceZZ Mar 23 '23

Was it worth it?

1

u/[deleted] Mar 23 '23

Maybe, maybe, maybe

1

u/criteriaz Mar 23 '23

Thought she hit her head, instead she probably broke a rib or 2

1

u/A_Morally Mar 23 '23

I always wait for the end to be a collection of x-ray shots

1

u/Ok_Junket_4325 Mar 23 '23

Natural Selection is a bitch.

1

u/Bobby2Shakes Mar 23 '23

All things considered went pretty well.

1

u/IrishTexanAngel Mar 23 '23

She’s gonna be in the hospital for awhile after that kind of fall and hope she has insurance cause that bill ain’t gonna be cheap

1

u/Sensitive_Sir_7305 Mar 23 '23

Oooops. That was painful.

1

u/Adventurous_Set_3787 Mar 23 '23

Definitely dislocated her shoulder

1

u/No-Shame-In-Shaymin Mar 24 '23

First thing that popped into my head was RDJ’s ā€œDiscombobulate.ā€

1

u/QuarterSuccessful449 Mar 24 '23

Sober fall that’s a surgery drunk fall that’s an average Saturday night

1

u/loy310 Mar 24 '23

1

u/Benny_Galaxy_231 Mar 25 '23

Women ā˜•ļø

1

u/MTgolfer406 Mar 25 '23

She went full on rag doll except with bones on the inside.

1

u/CanITellUSmThin Mar 25 '23

Her whole body wrecked from one stupid ā€œfunā€ idea

1

u/BodybuilderSalt9807 Mar 25 '23

Lifetime pain to remind her of her momentary shot at failed glory.

1

u/64-bit_Ryan Mar 26 '23

My mental bones just broke seeing this in slow motion

1

u/MrYEET6464 Mar 27 '23

That might’ve dislocated her shoulder

1

u/Frosted_Bagelz Mar 28 '23

She did surprisingly well before her feet caught

1

u/Pearescent-Sphinx Mar 29 '23

When I first watched it I thought she hit her neck so the most likely cracked ribs don’t seem so bad

1

u/kaptvesou1 Mar 31 '23

Win stupid prizes

1

u/Dohm0022 Apr 08 '23

That’ll leave a scapula.

0

u/theoriginalstarwars Mar 22 '23

She would have been fine had she not tried to grab the rail to stop herself. That caused her upper body to swing to that side throwing her body off balance and down she went.

0

u/Mountaineer3615 Mar 22 '23

I mean... she dead, right?

0

u/cornerdweler Mar 23 '23

Play stupid games win stupid prizes

0

u/Basdad Mar 23 '23

Slo-mo falls make me laugh.

0

u/Western_Dare1509 Mar 23 '23

I need a Motrin just watching this.

0

u/avs76 Mar 23 '23

Is she dead?
