Hey friends! Getting so psyched for my Eras show on June 23rd! This will be my third show with my husband (Reputation and 1989) and was a STRUGGLE to get tickets….but we did!

I love RED and that was totally the first album I bought. I loved the 22 video and decided to emulate that look. Cut the shirt into a muscle tee, got red shorts, red socks, red bicep bands and glasses. I got red body glitter too which I was afraid to test out bahaha.

I’m beyond excited for this show ESPECIALLY cause it’s Pride Weekend ❤️🏳️‍🌈❤️

I sewed and embroidered this jacket myself to wear to the Eras Tour concert in Chicago last weekend, thought I’d share it with everyone!

I was thinking about this last night for some reason, and I could not think of an example. She mentions drinks a lot, as our girlie loves her wine and booze. But I’m wondering if anyone can think of a time she uses food in a lyric?

Obviously Taylor Swift has accomplished a huge number of things in the past 17(?) years of her career. My question is, what are things that you believe she will never CHOOSE to do? Not things that you don’t believe she’s capable of accomplishing, but things she won’t try because she just doesn’t want to or doesn’t think it’s a good career move.

This is kind of random, but last night as my 3.5 year old was watching the Sesame Street 50th anniversary special for the 11th time, I found myself thinking about whether Taylor has ever been on Sesame Street (she has not) and whether she ever would. It feels like most musical performers who go on Sesame Street do so either early in their careers when they’re just starting to get famous (Billie Eilish, Hailee Steinfeld, Destiny’s Child, the Chicks, Feist) or once they’re old enough to have kids who want to watch Sesame Street (Dave Grohl in season 50), or Sesame Street is just an integral part of their upbringing and they jump at the chance to be a part of it. And idk about you guys, but Taylor doesn’t seem like a Sesame Street girlie to me. I could be wrong though!

Anyway, what are your thoughts about things she won’t attempt, for whatever reason? I’m not talking about collaborators she won’t work with, that’s been discussed fairly recently. This is more things like musical styles she won’t write in, cultural moments that she wouldn’t want to be a part of, etc. I also don’t think that we will see her perform at a US presidential inauguration, for example. I checked the tired topics list and I hope this doesn’t count! Thanks for reading!

My friends and I were talking about this and I thought it was an interesting idea.

You could show her a song that's instrumentally far away from country to shock her with the sound she would go on to have.

You could show her one of her biggest hits.

You could show her a song that's considered to be one of her best.

Or, show her a song that contains information about her life to give her an idea about what path her life will take, or things to be prepared for.

I'm not sure if Taylor anticipated what would follow when she put the line "and make the friendship bracelets" into You're on Your Own Kid, but the results are spectacular. They seem to be the centerpiece of the good vibes and family spirit emanating through her concert experience. Many people have said the best thing about the concert is the wonderful friendliness of everyone they met.

I wonder if Taylor or Tree or some other inspired member of Taylor's marketing team came up with this idea...and if they promoted it beyond just the lyrics in the song. Or maybe one or more members of the Swiftie universe emphasized the idea somewhere and it mushroomed.

It is so good for positive feelings toward other people to be emphasized in this society. Heaven knows we can use it!

This could mean something that was confusing or something that you didn’t understand.

My example is in Paris—

“Your ex-friend’s sister met someone at a club and he kissed her. Turns out, it was that guy you hooked up with ages ago some wannabe Z-lister…”

It took me a while to puzzle out that Taylor is quoting a friend who was relaying this story to her. This line helped: “Did you see the photos? No, I didn’t, but thanks, though.”

I saw another example from The Lakes—

“Is it romantic how all my elegies eulogize me?”

Talk about needing a poetry class. 😅
