Google TV RANT!!!
Not sure if this is the right thread to be venting in - but i couldn't find an active Google Tv thread (in regards to the Google TV app for smartphones/laptops)
I have been using Google TV (formerly Google Play) for at least 5 years - and for 5 years i have been purchasing digital content - films and tv shows - via their app/store. And during the course of those 5 years, i have seen Google TV go from bad - to WORSE!!!
So many problems and nuisances!?!?! Where to begin???
But the MAIN problem seems to be with the Television shows....
Some Tv shows don't have the FULL seasons uploaded, some tv shows have episodes in the wrong order, episodes titled incorrectly, episodes titled in an odd context - eg "Episode 00b03" - which makes it MURDER trying to find a particular episode. Tv shows are overpriced (compared to PRIME). The list goes on and on.....
This is BEYOND frustrating. And as an avid film and tv show collector - the Google TV app - is just, in a word - SH*T.
In the last couple of days - i have noticed 1 or 2 movies i have purchased - won't play - at ALL!!!
And TV shows i have purchased - now have episodes.... LOCKED!!! This is absoluetly unacceptable behavior from Google to its consumers.
I contacted somebody at Google about my recent issues (above) and to save a long story - they told me to go to Youtube to watch my purchased content .... where magically - they ALL seem to play fine.
But i shouldn't have to go to Youtube to watch my content - when THATS what the so called "Google TV app" is for.
At this point - i regret the day i ever started purchasing content on Googles platform, which has now become bloated and absolutely chock full of mistakes and glitches.
I have - for the past year or two - been purchasing digital content on Amazons Prime.
So far - NEVER had a problem. Episodes listed clearly and concisely. Everything works (so far) and their app, while not perfect, is far better than Googles TV app. And the prices on Prime - are SO MUCH more cheaper than Google TV's prices.
Its frustrating because i have invested in a LOT of content on Google over the years. And I really don't want to buy the SAME movies all over again - but sometimes i feel like doing that - just to get away from their horrible Google TV platform.
So the whole point of this rant - is i would like to hear if anybody elser out there, has had similar frustrations and experiences, with the Google Tv app???
Got stories??? Drop em below....

Remove Google result
Hey! I tried everything and am at a loss. There's a news article I'm in that I want off Google results. The company doesn't even produce it anymore, stopped in 2014. Is there any way to get it off especially since it's inactive?? I've hired people, reported it etc, maybe I'm missing something that could help
Thank you.

Does anyone know what is going on with my Pixel 7 pro? If this was a desktop, I'd say the graphics card is dying.

Google ads recommendations for learning
I’m looking for some free online websites or YouTube videos that would best help me learn how to navigate and use Google ads. Specifically my husband owns a construction business- primarily around roofing, but also anything exterior. What would be great links to get me started on basically the foundations and going forward. Might even be interested in taking marketing classes in the future depending on the foundations I learn.
Thank you for any recommendations

I'm a big fan but .. this is silly
I've ya Google fan from day one. I've a Google phone (again) a Chromebook and Google WiFi Router and 'Point" or Extender. All of that makes this even more frustrating. I tried to manage the WiFi with Google Home and get "QR Code not recognized" then bought the 'Point' and get "QR Code Wrong Format" error That's just down right silly. It's all Google and thet don't recognize each other. Silly!!!

Verification code avalanche
Hi. I recently installed Spotify on my android phone and since then have been receiving Google Verification code notifications multiple times per day. There is no way to stop them coming. They are pinging my phone all day and all night.
Spotify was verified at the time. This is additional. Anyone know what is going on here and how I can fix it?
- yes I know that one may not be the result of the other, I’m just relaying the timeline.

Server-side Rendering vs. Client-side Rendering: Simplified
In the world of web development, two prominent rendering techniques stand out: server-side rendering (SSR) and client-side rendering (CSR). Understanding the difference between these two approaches is essential for anyone involved in building websites. Let's break it down in simple terms.
Server-side Rendering (SSR):
Imagine ordering a ready-made meal from a restaurant. With SSR, the server prepares the entire dish in the kitchen, carefully garnishes it, and serves it to you at your table. In web terms, this means that the server processes most of the webpage content on its side before sending it to your browser.
Key Points about SSR:
Faster Initial Load: SSR serves a fully prepared webpage, so it loads quickly when you first visit a site. Users see content almost instantly.
SEO-Friendly: Search engines love SSR because they can easily crawl and index the content. This can boost your website's search rankings.
Good for Static Content: SSR works well for websites with mostly static content that doesn't change frequently.
Client-side Rendering (CSR):
Now, think of CSR like ordering a pizza to bake at home. The restaurant provides you with the ingredients and instructions. You assemble and bake the pizza in your own oven. In the web world, CSR means that the browser does more work; it assembles the webpage from various components.
Key Points about CSR:
Slower Initial Load: CSR can be slower initially because the browser has to assemble the webpage. Users might see a blank screen for a moment.
Interactivity: CSR shines when you have dynamic, interactive content. It's great for apps and websites that change a lot without requiring full-page reloads.
Not as SEO-Friendly: Historically, CSR posed challenges for SEO because search engines struggled to crawl JavaScript-heavy content. However, modern SEO techniques have improved this.
Which Is Better?
There's no one-size-fits-all answer. The choice between SSR and CSR depends on your project's specific needs:
Choose SSR- if you want fast initial loading times, better SEO, and have mostly static content.
Opt for CSR if you need a highly interactive website or application with dynamic content.
Consider Hybrid Approaches: In some cases, combining SSR and CSR can offer the best of both worlds, known as "Hybrid Rendering."

I aspire to join the ranks of Google
Are there individuals employed at Google in the sales operations domain who could provide me with valuable insight? With three years of experience in sales operations, I am on the lookout for new career opportunities. I aim to secure an interview with Google, and I would greatly appreciate any guidance or advice!
